This report is at the A-level. It includes all of the elements of a complete analysis. In particular, the report describes the physics of the situation (what principles are involved) and the approach to the solution. These are done in paragraph form. The math is worked out using symbols, so the final result is an equation. This was type set using MS Word. The diagrams were drawn using MS PowerPoint, and then imported into the Word document. You can use this type of editing program, or another. You can even use paper and pen, and then scan the resulting document.
