Formative

Real-time assessment is an integral part of the course design. Students are continually monitoring their progress through interactive components.

• Competency verification for each module within the units
• Meta-cognitive skills training

Summative

Gains in concept formation, skill acquisition, attitudes about science, and problem-solving strategies will be assessed at the end of the course. These will be compared to the results from the face-to-face version of the course.
